In short, models are one of the principal instruments of modern science, and can support a hypothesis or experiment conducted by a scientist. The atomic model underpins the theory made by Bohr.

An atom is too small to be seen so that is why models are so useful. Along with the moon or the bone structure of an animal that existed 200, 000 years ago, you cant just see those tings with the naked eye at all times, but with a model you can have that by your side and be able to look at it and study or learn what you need to.
