Answer:

3 : 2

Explanation:

Ratio defined as the comparison of two sizes or class.

i.e a to b = a:b

As per the statement:

Robert planted 24 daffodil bulbs and 36 tulip bulbs in his garden last winter.

⇒Number of daffodil bulbs = 24 and Number of tulip bulb = 36.

To find the the ratio of tulips to daffodils in Robert's garden.

\frac{\text{Number of tulip bulb}}{\text{Number of daffodils bulb}}

Substitute given values we have;

(36)/(24)

Divide numerator and denominator by 12 we have;

(3)/(2)

By definition of ratio, we have

3 : 2

Therefore, the ratio of tulips to daffodils in Robert's garden is, 3: 2
