Brass is a solid-solid solution (all alloys are). Carbon dioxide is a compound. Oxygen is an element (and so is anything else on the periodic table). Salt water is a solid-liquid solution of salt in water. Raisin Bran is a heterogeneous mixture of raisins in bran flakes. Sugar water is a solid-liquid solution of sugar in water. Chocolate chip cookies are an albeit delicious heterogeneous mixture of chips in cookie dough (and the dough itself is a homogeneous mixture). Gatorade is a solution of whatever's in it and water (who knows whats in that stuff). Lead is an element. Caesar salad is a heterogeneous mixture of lettuce and other stuff. I don't know what calcour is. Whole milk is usually homogenized, but otherwise is a heterogeneous mixture of cream and whey. Skim milk is a homogeneous solution (whey). Hydrogen peroxide is a compound. Potassium is an element. Sugar is a compound (glucose, fructose, sucrose, or such like).
