What is the slope of the line represented by the equation 4x+8y=4

rearrange the formula so that its in the form of y=mx+b
so it would be:
8y= -4x + 4
then divide by 8:
y= -4/8 x + 4/8:
Simplify:

y= -1/2x + 1/2

the slope is -1/2

The slope is 1.000/2.000=-0.500
