T = 50 + (50 * 0.175) [ 17.5% = 0.175 ]
T = 50 + 8.75
T = 58.75

Total Cost = Initial Cost + VAT Cost
T = 50 + (50 * 17.5%)
T = 50 + (50 * 0.175) [ 17.5% = 0.175 ]
T = 50 + 8.75
T = 58.75

In short, Your Answer would be £58.75
