The Crimean War was a belic conflict between the Russian Empire and the Allies over the rights of Christian minorities in Holy Land. Russia lost due to how far behind they were from other European countries in many aspects.

The poor conditions in which workers were, helped the rise of socialist political parties like the Bolsheviks, led by Lenin.
