To repair a cell membrane, fat will be needed to supply the building blocks. This is because cell membranes are made up largely of fat bio-molecules.

The main component of cell membranes are phospholipid molecules which stretch throught the membrane. Therefore, to repair a broken region, lipid, or fat, molecules would be needed.
