Magnitude refers to a real number value, like 1, 2, 3 ,4... and so on. While dimension is represented by a symbol or a letter, like "lb" or "m" that serve as a reference of the units. For example, the magnitude can be 50, and its unit "miles or m".

Another examples could be:

Magnitude Unit

8 lbs

10 tbs

1 oz

Thus, dimension can also be called unit
