to get the answer, you would do 5.90 divided by 16 because there is 16 ounces in a pound. so for each ounce, you would be paying $.37
(without rounding, the actual answer would be .36875)

There are 16 ounces in a pound, so since they are 5.9 dollars per pound, you would divide 5.9 by 16.
After doing this you get 0.36875.
Rounding to the cent you get $0.37 per ounce.
i hope this helps (;
