They often had multiple homes, and extensive educations, and they often had important political roles.
Lives of poor Ancient Romans:
They usually lived in apartments, there were also free food programs (kinda like food stamps), and had a basic education (public schools).
Rome was also pretty advanced in the sense that women had more rights than most at that time. They were the first to institute a public health program. Citizens also had a right to participate in government.
