We have to find the midpoint coordinates (D) of segment AB.

We can calculate the coordinates of the midpoint as:

\begin{gathered} x_M=(x_A+x_B)/(2)=(-6x+(-2x))/(2)=(-8x)/(2)=-4x \\ \\ y_M=(y_A+y_B)/(2)=(4y+(-4y))/(2)=(4y-4y)/(2)=0 \end{gathered}

Answer: D = (-4x, 0)
