To REVOLT is to break away from or rise against constituted authority, as by open rebellion; cast off allegiance or subjection to those in authority or to turn away in mental rebellion, utter disgust, or abhorrence or to feel horror or aversion.A REVOLUTION is an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed. It can also be a radical and pervasive change in society and the social structure, especially one made suddenly and often accompanied by violence.Or a sudden, complete or marked change in something:the present revolution in church architecture.
Hope this is helpful.
