On the map that is shown it is easily noticeable that the most developed countries in the world are on the continents where the Western culture is the dominant one, like big portion of Europe, most of North America, and Australia with New Zealand. There are some exceptions of course, like Japan and South Korea in Asia, but they are by far a minority on their respective continent.
