Work out the surface area of a cube of edge 3 m?

the formula for surface area is simple. The base times height of one face times the number of faces (6 faces on a cube). on a cube all edges are the same. So find the area of one face and multiply it by 6.

Because there are 6 faces on a cube, you could first find the area of 1 face by doing 3 × 3 = 9. Then you multiply 9 by 6 to get 54
