y∝ x

y=k*x

k=y/x

now putt the first point x=8 and y=2

we get k=2/8 =1/4

and also putt 2nd point ,

x=16,y=4 we get k=1/4 and similarly for 3rd and 4th point we also get k=1/4

hence the direct variation , equation become for all is same, that is

y=(1/4)x
