5x - 2y = 10.....multiply by 3
4x + 3y = 7.....multiply by 2

15x - 6y = 30 (result of multiplying by 3)
8x + 6y = 14 (result of multiplying by 2)

23x = 44.....u see how the y was eliminated ?
