A system is:
1.25 x + 2.25 y = 16
x + y = 8
---------------------------
y = 8 - x
1.25 x + 2.25 * ( 8 - x ) = 16
1.25 x + 18 - 2.25 x = 16
- x = 16 - 18
- x = - 2
x = 2
y = 8 - 2
y = 6
Answer:
B ) 2 ounces of seed and 6 ounces of dried fruit.
