A) 2x − 4y = 24
B) 4x − 12y = 36
We can solve equation A for "x"
x = 2y + 12
We can input this "x" value into equation B)
B) 4*(2y + 12) -12y = 36
8y + 48 -12y = 36
-4y = -12
y = 3
Putting this value into equation A
A) 2x − 4*3 = 24
2x = 36
x = 18
