What is 2x + 5 = 15 - (-49) x 5

So, you do -49 * 5 first because multiplication is before addition, which is -245.
15 - (-245) turns into addition, so the right side of the equation is 260.

Move the 5 over. 260-5 = 255

2x = 255, so x =255/2 or 127.5

2x + 5 = 320
subtract 5 from each side

2x = 315
divide by 2 on each side
