Three volumes of Jennifer's encyclopedia take up 4 inches of space on her shelf. How much space will she need for all 26 volumes of the encyclopedia

34.66 inches because 24 volumes take up 32 inches. One volume takes up approximately 1.33 inches so the remaining two volumes take 2.66inches which makes a total of 34.66 inches.

So if 3 volumes of the encyclopedia take up 4 inches of space, then each volume takes up 3/4 inches of space or .75 inches.

If you multiply 26*(.75) = 19.5 inches of space, or 19 and a half inches of space.
