false, 2(x+3) does not equal 2x+3

2(x+3) = 2x+3
2x+6 = 2x+3
6≠3

2(x+3) is not equivalent to 2x+3 because the answer for 2(x+3) equals 2x+6 because you have to multiply everything in the parentheses by 2. Hope this helps you and have an amazing day!
