subsitute x+5 for y
3x+20=2(x+5)
3x+20=2x+10
minus 2x both sides
x+20=10
minus 20
x=-10
sub back

x+5=y
-10+5=y
-5=y

x=-10
y=-5
(x,y)
(-10,-5)

well, 2 is x and 7 is y correct? so you would just do it like this

3x+20=2y
x+5=y

3(2)+20=2(7)
2+5=7
