y=-2x+3-4x+2y=8
y=-6x+3+2y=8
-2y -2y -2y
-y=-6x+3=8-2y
+3 =3 +3
-y+3=-6x=11-2y
(this is as close as i got)

This is using substitution:

-4x + (2(-2x+3)) = 8
-4x + -4x + 6 = 8
-8x + 6 = 8
- 6
-8x = 2
÷ -8
x = -0.25

y = (-2 × -0.25) + 3
y = 0.5 + 3
y = 3.5

I hope this helps!
