- 1/2 x + 3 - 4x + 5 + 3/2 x
bring like terms together:-
- 1/2 x - 4x + 3/2 x + 3 + 5 Now you can work out the x's and the numbers
= - 4 1/2 x + 3/2 x + 8
= -4 1/2 x + 1 1/2 x + 8
= -3x + 8
