What is 17-(6-3x5)= This is from pre-algebra and we are stuck...thanks

the answer is 8, PEMDAS, parentheses first 3x5=15 then 15-6=9 then 17-9=8

HINT: PEMDAS


17-(6-3*5)

Multiply 3*5 first

3*5=15

Then subtract 15 from 6

6-15 = (-9)

Then subtract (-9) (or add 9) from/to 17

17-(-9) = 17+9 = 26

Answer equals 26.
