2x + 3y = 2
2x + 12y = 8 -
___________
-9y = -6
÷ -9
y = 2/3
2x + (3 × 2/3) = 2
2x + 2 = 2
- 2
2x = 0
÷ 2
x = 0
So y = 2/3 or 0.6 recurring and x = 0. I hope this helps!

(3)-(1)=9y=6
y=2/3
sub y=2/3 in (1)
