Answer: Brass and bronze are both alloys of copper because copper is the main component in brass and bronze.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alloy is defined as the homogeneous mixture of two or more different metals.

Copper is mixed with various other metals to give different alloys like:

  • Brass which is an alloy composed of copper and zinc.
  • Bronze is an also another alloy of copper and tin with small addition of other metals like: nickel, aluminium etc.
