PLEASE HELP Bill receives a monthly stipend of $800. He also works at a bookstore making $8 an hour. He wants a monthly income of $1,200.

How many hours does he need to work each month?

Bill will need to work 50 hours every month.

Explanation:

First, we subtract the stipend from the total income he wants to have since he will already recieve it.


1200 - 800 = 400

From this 400 dollars, we can divide it by 8, or his hourly rate to find the rest of the time he needs to work.


(400)/(8)=50

Bill needs to work 50 hours to make his total income of 1200.
