Prepositional phrase: (of shoes) "of"=preposition, "shoes"=object of the preposition.

The correct answer is shoes.

An object of the preposition is just a fancy way of saying - what word follows a preposition? So, when you find the preposition in a sentence, the word which comes immediately after will be its object.

In the example above, there is only one preposition - the word of. Given that there is only one word after it, the noun shoes, it is the object of the preposition in the sentence above.
