Main difference is in their definitions, and noun describes a person/place/thing, and the thing (work) which they are doing is described by a Verb

A noun is refering to a person, place, or thing. An example of a noun, your name. Anything that is something basically.

A verb is an action that has been done. Like for example "He ran or she jumped". Any type of action that someone is doing, that is a verb.

Hope this helped ._.
