Betty's Bakery sells donut holes at $2.00 for 5 boxes. Shari's Sweets sells 6 boxes of donut holes for $2.30. Which store has the better buy?

5 boxes deal is better because if you find the unit ratio $2.00 for 5's is 2.50 and $2.30 for 6's ratio is 2.60 therefore you would rather pay $2.50 for one doughnut than $2.60 for one doughnut.:)hope this helped!

Easy. You're finding unit rates for both Betty's and Shari's.

Betty's: Divide 2.00 and 5 to get 0.4 or $0.40

Shari's: Divide 2.30 and 6 to get .38 (Had to round) or $0.38

Conclusion: Shari's is the better buy, you'll be saving 2 cents!

Hope this helped!
