Cylinder A has a radius of 4 inches and a height of 2 inches. Cylinder B has a radius of 2 inches. What is the height of Cylinder B to the nearest inch if both Cylinders have the same volume?

Explanation:

Formula: V=pi r^2 h

Cylinder A:

radius: 4 in height: 2 in

V=pi*4^*2*2

V=pi*16*2

V=pi*32

V=3.14*32

V=100.48

Cylinder B:

radius: 2 in height: ? volume: 100.48

100.48=pi*2^2*h

100.48=pi*4*h

100.48=3.14*4*h

100.48=12.56*h

100.48/12.56=h

h=8 in
