7/8 is greater than 5/10 because you need to use a number line, and in the number line, you'll see that there's an number that is equivalent and then more far or close it's the answer. (Recommended to use I-Ready Math)

To know the answer, you need to find the
common denominator.
Common denominator is the multiple of a denominator which 2 or more fractions have the same denominator. The common denominator of 7/8 and 5/10 is 40 because 8*5=40 and 10*4=40.
7/8 times 5 equals 35/40 and 5/10 times 4 equals 20/40.
35/40 is greater than 20/40
So the answer is yes. 7/8 is greater than 5/10.
