Simplify both sides of the inequality.
7x−4<4x+12
Subtract 4x from both sides.7x−4−4x<4x+12−4x3x−4<12
Add 4 to both sides.3x−4+4<12+43x<16
Divide both sides by 3
and you get x<16/3
Hope this helps!
