The value of acceleration due to gravity (g) on a point 10,000 kilometers above sea level is about 1.49 meters/second2. How much will an object, which weighs 98 newtons on the surface of Earth, weigh on this point? The value of acceleration due to gravity on Earth is 9.8 meters/second2

Weight = mass * gravity
98 = m * (9.81)
mass= 9.99 <-- mass of object that is on surface of earth

*you want to find the weight of that same object at a different point. I found the mass so that I could apply it to the formula to find its weight at the point that they are asking for.

Weight = mass * gravity
W = 9.99 * 9.81
W = 98.00

hope this helps :)
