Simplify and explain (x^3+8)/(x+2)

answer:

x^2 - 2 x + 4

explanation: you want to factor the expression using a^3 + b^3= (a+b) (a^2 - ab+b^2)

then

(x,2) x (x^2 - 2x+4)

_________________

x+2

then reduce so,

(x+2) x (x^2- 2x +4)

_________________

x+2

then cross out repeating which is x+2

then you get your answer!
