When writing for different audiences, it is important to adjust your writing. How should your writing differ if you were writing to a team of professionals versus patients?

In this case, if you are referring to medical patients (I think?) then both texts would be rather formal as they are in a professional setting. However, the language when writing to patients would, of course, include more medical jargon, while writing to a team of professionals would be serious but related to the profession. (sorry, this is my first answer, correct me if I'm wrong in my interpretation of your question?)
