50 POINTS! John earned $4.52 per hour working after school for ABC grocery. Last week he worked 12.5 hours. This week he worked 17.75 hours. How much was his paycheck for these 2 weeks after $14.66 was deducted for taxes and social security?

Well, since we know that per HOUR is $4.52, and he worked 12.5 hours last week, we would multiply 4.52 times 12.5 to find the total amount of money he earned last week, which is $56.50. Now, the NEXT week he worked 17.25 hours. We'll do the same steps we did for solving the first week's paycheck- Multiply 4.52 times 17.75, which is $80.23. Now, to find out the total amount of money he earned for both weeks, add both paychecks together, ($56.50 + $80.23), which is $136.73. SO he earned $136.73 in two weeks. To find out the total amount of money he earned after taxes and social security charges, (in this problem it's $14.66), we'd subtract those extra charges from his paycheck, so we'd do $136.73 - $14.66, which is $122.07. So, in total, John has earned $122.07 in his bank account over the past two weeks.
Hope I helped! c:
