4 1/3 would be 13/3 because 4 x 3 = 12 plus the numerator equals 13/3. 1 2/5 would be 7/5 because 1 x 5 = 5 and 5 + 2 = 7, so 7/5. 3 2/3 would be 11/3 because 3 x 3 = 9 then add the numerator of 2 and get 11/3
