Answer:

$12.49

Explain:

The math is pretty simple, you'll first have to collect the data you have. I'll tell you in some easy steps, and if you want to know more details, just go below the steps!

1. Get the $21.35, because it's the total price.

2. Do the equation of $21.35 - $8.94

3. Your answer should be $12.49

I'll explain here more about it!

You get the $21.35 because it's the total price, and since your trying to get the answer, you'll have to take away the $8.94. The reason for this is that if you take away $8.94, you will be left with the answer... which is $12.49, and if you add the $12.49 and the $8.94 you will get $21.35.

Look, I'm sorry, I'm not really good at explaining, but I was happy to help... if I did, but thanks!

To solve you need to subtract 8.94 from 21.35 giving you 12.41 the coast of the pencils.

21.35 - 8.94=12.41
colored pencils price: $12.41

you can check your answer by adding 12.41 to 8.94 to see if it adds up to the original total. It does so we know our answer is correct.

8.94+12.41=21.35

Hope this was helpful :)
