Which is a solution to (x – 3)(x + 9) = –27?

x = –9
x = –3
x = 0
x = 6

first you would multiply x by x so x^2. next x*9 would be 9x then -3*x would be -3x last you would do -3*9 would be -27 then you would simplify that out

x²+6x-27=-27
add 27 both sides
x²+6x=0
factor
x(x+6)=0
set to zero

x=0

x+6=0
x=-6


x=0 or -6

answer is 0 since -6 is not listed
