The given equation is,


(x^2)/(36)-(y^2)/(16)=1\text{ ---(1)}

It can be rewritten as,


(x^2)/(6^2)-(y^2)/(4^2)=1\text{ ---(2)}

The above equation is similar to the standard equation of left-right facing a hyperbola given by,
