Customers of a phone company can choose between two service plans for long distance calls. The first plan has a $25 monthly fee and charges an additional $0.14 for each minute of calls. The second plan has no monthly fee but charges $0.19 for each minute of calls. For how many minutes of calls will the costs of the two plans be equal?

the first plan will be25.14 cents per month but it is cheaper to do that because you are paying less by have only the .14 cents each call where as if you just chose the .19 cent one it would always be that and add up extremely fast.

0.14x + 25 = 0.19x

25 = 0.05x

x = 500

the costs of the two plans will be equal after 500 minutes
