At the end of Chapter 6, we see Victor's descriptions of the weather and nature. Everything is beautiful, and the reader feels overwhelmed by the positivity of these lines. The fact that nature is so beautiful is significant to the novel. First of all, the novel follows the Romantic tradition in which nature and humans are considered to be intrinsically connected. Moreover, our well-being often depends on our interactions with the natural world. Secondly, weather is an important element in the novel, as it often reflects or offers a contrast to the inner world of the characters. Finally, by presenting nature as beautiful and the monster as ugly, Shelley emphasizes the unnatural characteristics of bringing the monster to life.

The weather at that point was bright and sunny. He described how positive the people were around him and how their positive was infecting him. This is quite the opposite of what Shelley sets the novel. The theme of the novel is supposed dark and gloomy.
