These five rational numbers are plotted on a horizontal number line. -2/3, 7/8, -4/5, 7/10, -4/3. which statement is true.

-4/3 is farthest to left, and 7/8 issues farthest to the right.
-2/3 is farthest to the left and 7/10 is farthest to the right.
-4/3 is the farthest to the left, and 7/10 is farthest to the right.

-2/3 = -0.666
7/8 = 0.875
-4/5 = - 0.8
7/10 = 0.7
-4/3 = -1.333

Answer:

-4/3 is farthest to left, and 7/8 is farthest to the right

Explanation:

First, it is easies if we change all the fractions into decimal numbers:

-2/3 = -0.67

7/8 = 0.875

-4/5 = -0.8

7/10 = 0.7

-4/3 = 1.33

Now with this values we can plot them in a horizontal line, and to do this we have 0 in the middle of the line and the numbers to the right from 0 are positive and the numbers to the left are negative.

When we graph them we can see that the number farthest to the left is -3/4 and the farthest to the right is 7/8.
