Kevin and randy muise have a jar containing 63 ​coins, all of which are either quarters or nickels. the total value of the coins in the jar is ​$ 8.35. how many of each type of coin do they​ have?

A) Q + N = 63
B) .25Q + .05N = 8.35

Multiplying Equation B by -4
B) -Q -.2N = -33.40 then adding it to A)
A) Q + N = 63
.8 N = 29.60
N = 37
Q = 63 - 37 = 26
