Suppose y varies directly with x and y=72 when x=6. what direct variation equation relates x and y? what is the value of y when x=10?

the direct variation would be 12x=y. so you have 6*12=72. the variation factor would be 12 so when x=10, y would be equal to 120

y=12x
Check: 72=12(6)
72=72
y=12x
y=12(10)
y=120
when x is 10 y is 120
