if complementary then sum of the angles = 90
#54
3x + 16 +4x-3 = 90
7x-13=90
7x = 90-13
7x = 77
x = 11

m<A=3x + 16 = 3(11) + 16 = 49
m<B = 4x - 3 = 4(11)-3=41

#55
4x-2+7x+4=90
11x+2=90
11x = 90-2
11x = 88
x = 8

m<A = 4x-2 = 4(8) - 2 = 30
m<B =7x+4 = 7(8) + 4 = 60
