Cherokee Nation v. Georgia:The Cherokee insisted that they are a separate nation, so therefore Georgia can’t enforce state laws within their territory.Thiswas a case in which the United States Supreme Court vacated the conviction ofSamuel Worcester that prohibited non-Indians from being present on Indian lands without a license from the state was unconstitutional. But, Since they lost the case of Cherokee Nation v. Georgia, a controversial treaty allowed removal to continue ,this is what lead us to this Trail of Tears
