A turtle walking at an average speed of 3/10 mile per hour takes 13/20 hour to walk from its home to the seashore. How long will the journey take if the turtle doubles its average speed?

Answer:

13/40 because when you double the average speed it would be 3/10*2/1=6/10. Since you double the speed, it will take less time to travel, so you do 13/20*1/2=13/40. The greater the average speed, the less time it takes to travel.

If the turtle goes from 3/10 of an hour to 6/10 of an hour, it will be going 12/20 of an hour, so it would 1 and 1/20 of an hour. But I could be wrong.
